The furnace installation symptoms we hear most
- The heater runs and runs and the back bedrooms stay cold Undersized returns or duct losses, not always the furnace itself
- It kicks on, blows for two minutes, then shuts off again Short-cycling from an oversized unit, a limit switch, or a flue issue
- Our repair tech said the heat exchanger is cracked Safety condemnation. Replacement territory, and a life safety concern
- The furnace is 20-odd years old and parts are hard to find Obsolete control boards and inducer motors, replacement usually beats repair
- Burner flames look yellow and lazy instead of blue Combustion or venting problem needing a professional inspection
People call this furnace installation, furnace replacement or heater installation. Same visit, same written quote, same technician.

How do you size a furnace for my house?
We run the numbers on your square footage, insulation, window area and duct layout instead of matching the old nameplate. Plenty of homes across the region got an oversized furnace at build time, which is why rooms feel uneven and the unit cycles constantly.
Can I keep my existing ductwork?
Often yes, but we inspect it first. Undersized returns and crushed flex in the attic are common in tract homes, and a new furnace pushed through bad duct will still leave cold rooms. We tell you what needs fixing and what can stay.
How long does a furnace replacement take?
Most straight swaps are a one-day job. If we are resizing return ducts, moving the unit, or reworking the flue and gas connection, plan on two days. We give you a schedule before we start so you know when heat comes back on.
Is a high-efficiency upgrade worth it for me?
It depends on how much you actually run heat and where the unit sits. High-efficiency furnaces need a condensate drain and different venting, which is easy in some garages and awkward in others. We look at your setup and tell you straight.
What if I smell gas near the furnace?
Leave the building right away, get everyone outside, then call 911 or your gas utility from outside. Do not flip switches or relight anything. Once the utility clears the property, call us and we will inspect the furnace and gas connections.
Can I replace just the furnace and keep my old AC?
Sometimes. The blower in a new furnace has to match what your air conditioning needs, so we check airflow and coil compatibility. If your AC is also near the end of its life, we will say so rather than let you pay for two visits.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form with what you notice. Warm air, no air, short cycling, a smell, a noise. Details like when it started help us bring the right parts on the first visit.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, refrigerant performance, airflow and the return sizing. We test rather than guess, then explain what failed and why in plain language before any work starts.
- Step 3
Repair and verify
We make the repair, then measure temperatures and airflow at the vents to confirm the system holds. If a duct or return is starving the equipment, we tell you what it would take to fix it.

Why homeowners call us
- We know stucco tract homesMuch of the housing we service was built fast with returns too small for the tonnage installed. That single duct in the hallway explains a lot of weak airflow complaints, and we look at it before we sell you equipment.
- Marine mornings, inland afternoonsCoastal condos fight humidity and salt air, while inland homes run long afternoon cycles in triple digits. Same system, different failure patterns. We set expectations for the climate your house actually sits in.
- Diagnosis you can followYou get told which part failed, what it does and what happens if it waits. No hurry, no scare talk. If the honest answer is that the system has a few seasons left, we say that.
- Repair before replacementMost calls end in a repair, not a new system. We quote replacement only when a repair will not hold or the cost stops making sense, and we explain the reasoning either way.
- All major brands, gas & electricFrom Carrier and Trane to Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and Bryant, serviced independently.
- Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
