AC Replacement

AC replacement means removing a failed or worn-out air conditioning system and installing a new one sized to your home, and we do this work for homeowners across Arizona, California and Nevada. Most people land here after a compressor failure, a refrigerant leak in an old coil, or a third repair call in two summers. If your system is still running, keep the filter clean and the outdoor unit clear of debris and call us for an in-home look before the heat lands.

What an AC replacement actually involves

We start inside the house, not at the equipment. We measure the home, look at your ductwork, and count return air openings, because undersized returns are common in stucco tract homes and they will choke a brand new system the same way they choked the old one. Then we pull the existing condenser and coil, handle the refrigerant lines and electrical connections, set the new equipment, and test airflow and temperature split before we leave. Most single-system homes are done in a day.

What we check and install

A replacement is a package, not one box. We look at the coil, the blower, the line set, the disconnect, the condensate drain and the pad or roof curb the unit sits on. Old line sets that held a discontinued refrigerant usually need attention. We also check thermostat wiring and whether the return path can carry the airflow the new system needs. If a duct branch is crushed or a return is too small, we tell you before install day rather than after.

How we decide replacement is the right call

We would rather fix your air conditioner than sell you one. Repair usually wins when the system is under about a decade old, the cabinet and coil are sound, and the failed part is available. Replacement starts making sense when the compressor is dead, a coil leaks refrigerant that is no longer produced, or repair costs stack up year after year. Coastal condos with salt-corroded cabinets are their own case. We show you what we found and let you choose.

AC Replacement — quick answers

Do I have to replace the indoor coil too?

Usually yes. The outdoor unit and indoor coil are matched for pressure and airflow, and pairing a new condenser with an old coil often causes poor cooling and short equipment life. We confirm what your system needs on site.

Can you replace my AC in one day?

Most single-system homes with accessible equipment are finished in a day. Jobs that include duct repair, a new return, electrical work or a rooftop unit can run into a second day. We tell you the plan before we start.

Should I replace my furnace at the same time?

Not always, but it is worth pricing together if both are original to the house and share the same blower cabinet. Doing them at once avoids opening the same wall and duct connections twice. We will lay out both options.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form with what you notice. Warm air, no air, short cycling, a smell, a noise. Details like when it started help us bring the right parts on the first visit.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, refrigerant performance, airflow and the return sizing. We test rather than guess, then explain what failed and why in plain language before any work starts.

  3. Step 3

    Repair and verify

We make the repair, then measure temperatures and airflow at the vents to confirm the system holds. If a duct or return is starving the equipment, we tell you what it would take to fix it.

Why homeowners call us

  • We know stucco tract homesMuch of the housing we service was built fast with returns too small for the tonnage installed. That single duct in the hallway explains a lot of weak airflow complaints, and we look at it before we sell you equipment.
  • Marine mornings, inland afternoonsCoastal condos fight humidity and salt air, while inland homes run long afternoon cycles in triple digits. Same system, different failure patterns. We set expectations for the climate your house actually sits in.
  • Diagnosis you can followYou get told which part failed, what it does and what happens if it waits. No hurry, no scare talk. If the honest answer is that the system has a few seasons left, we say that.
  • Repair before replacementMost calls end in a repair, not a new system. We quote replacement only when a repair will not hold or the cost stops making sense, and we explain the reasoning either way.
  • All major brands, gas & electricFrom Carrier and Trane to Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and Bryant, serviced independently.
  • Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
