Questions Arizona homeowners ask

My AC runs all day in July and the house still sits at 82. Is it broken?

Maybe, and maybe it is sized or ducted wrong for a 112 degree afternoon. We start by measuring the temperature split across the coil and checking static pressure, because a system low on refrigerant and a system choking on an undersized return look identical from the thermostat. If the equipment tests fine, the fix is usually duct and return work, not a new condenser. Call us and we will tell you which one you are looking at.

How fast can you get here when it is over 110 outside?

During a heat run we book the earliest opening we have, and no-cooling calls go ahead of maintenance visits. Tell us on the phone if anyone in the house is elderly, very young, or has a medical condition that makes heat dangerous, and we will move you up the list. We do not promise a window we cannot hold..

Which Arizona cities do you cover?

We work across the Phoenix and Tucson metros and the surrounding towns, plus stretches of northern Arizona. The city pages below list what we service in each area. If you do not see your town, call anyway. We cover more ground than the list shows and we would rather tell you yes or no straight than have you guess.

What should I have ready before the technician arrives?

Know the thermostat brand and where the indoor unit lives, whether that is a hallway closet, the garage, or up in the attic. Have a rough idea of how old the system is if you know it. Clear a path to the outdoor unit and the indoor cabinet, and pen the dog if the yard is where we need to be. If you have had recent work done, the old invoice helps.

Anything safe I can check myself first?

Five things. Confirm the thermostat is set to cool and swap in fresh batteries. Check whether a breaker tripped at the panel. Look at the filter, and change it if it is grey and packed. Clear leaves, dryer lint from the vent hood, or oleander clippings away from the outdoor unit. Walk the house and make sure supply vents are open and not blocked by furniture. Anything involving refrigerant, gas or high voltage is ours to handle, not yours. If you ever smell gas, get everyone out of the building first, call 911 or your gas utility from outside, then call us.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form with what you notice. Warm air, no air, short cycling, a smell, a noise. Details like when it started help us bring the right parts on the first visit.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, refrigerant performance, airflow and the return sizing. We test rather than guess, then explain what failed and why in plain language before any work starts.

  3. Step 3

    Repair and verify

We make the repair, then measure temperatures and airflow at the vents to confirm the system holds. If a duct or return is starving the equipment, we tell you what it would take to fix it.

Why homeowners call us

  • We know stucco tract homesMuch of the housing we service was built fast with returns too small for the tonnage installed. That single duct in the hallway explains a lot of weak airflow complaints, and we look at it before we sell you equipment.
  • Marine mornings, inland afternoonsCoastal condos fight humidity and salt air, while inland homes run long afternoon cycles in triple digits. Same system, different failure patterns. We set expectations for the climate your house actually sits in.
  • Diagnosis you can followYou get told which part failed, what it does and what happens if it waits. No hurry, no scare talk. If the honest answer is that the system has a few seasons left, we say that.
  • Repair before replacementMost calls end in a repair, not a new system. We quote replacement only when a repair will not hold or the cost stops making sense, and we explain the reasoning either way.
  • All major brands, gas & electricFrom Carrier and Trane to Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and Bryant, serviced independently.
  • Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
