Safe things to check first
Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
- 1Pull your filter and look at it in daylight. If the media is grey and matted, change it and note the size for us.
- 2Check the thermostat is set to COOL or HEAT with the fan on AUTO, and swap the batteries if the screen is dim or blank.
- 3Walk the house and confirm supply registers and return grilles are open and not blocked by furniture, rugs or curtains.
- 4Look at the breaker panel for a tripped breaker on the air handler or outdoor unit circuit, and tell us if it trips again after reset.

Does duct cleaning actually help?
It helps when there is real debris to remove, like construction dust, pet hair or a system that ran with a collapsed filter. We look inside first and show you what is there. If the ducts are clean, we tell you that and skip the work.
How often should ducts be cleaned?
Most homes go several years between cleanings. Remodels, new flooring, a filter left in too long, pets, or a move into an older home are the usual reasons to look sooner. We inspect and give you a straight answer rather than a schedule.
How long does a duct cleaning take?
A typical single family home runs a few hours depending on the number of supply runs, how many returns you have and attic access. Bigger houses with two systems take longer. We give you a time window before we start pulling registers.
Will you clean the vents and registers too?
Yes. Register faces, boots and return grilles collect the most visible grime, so we pull them, clean them and reinstall them. Vent and register cleaning can also be done on its own if the duct interiors check out clean.
Is it messy inside my house?
We work under negative pressure so debris pulls toward the vacuum instead of into the room, and we cover the work area at each register. You may hear the equipment and see us moving furniture, but the dust stays contained.
What if you find a torn or disconnected duct?
We photograph it and show you the location and the size of the problem. Torn ducts and open joints waste airflow and pull in attic dust, so repair usually matters more than cleaning. You decide what gets done next.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form with what you notice. Warm air, no air, short cycling, a smell, a noise. Details like when it started help us bring the right parts on the first visit.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, refrigerant performance, airflow and the return sizing. We test rather than guess, then explain what failed and why in plain language before any work starts.
- Step 3
Repair and verify
We make the repair, then measure temperatures and airflow at the vents to confirm the system holds. If a duct or return is starving the equipment, we tell you what it would take to fix it.

Why homeowners call us
- We know stucco tract homesMuch of the housing we service was built fast with returns too small for the tonnage installed. That single duct in the hallway explains a lot of weak airflow complaints, and we look at it before we sell you equipment.
- Marine mornings, inland afternoonsCoastal condos fight humidity and salt air, while inland homes run long afternoon cycles in triple digits. Same system, different failure patterns. We set expectations for the climate your house actually sits in.
- Diagnosis you can followYou get told which part failed, what it does and what happens if it waits. No hurry, no scare talk. If the honest answer is that the system has a few seasons left, we say that.
- Repair before replacementMost calls end in a repair, not a new system. We quote replacement only when a repair will not hold or the cost stops making sense, and we explain the reasoning either way.
- All major brands, gas & electricFrom Carrier and Trane to Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and Bryant, serviced independently.
- Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
