Quick answers before you call

What should I check before calling for HVAC repair?

A few safe things. Check the thermostat batteries and that it is set to cool or heat, look for a tripped breaker, change a dirty filter, clear leaves and debris away from the outdoor unit, and confirm the room vents are open. Anything involving gas, refrigerant or high voltage is ours.

My AC runs but the air is warm. What is wrong?

Usually low refrigerant from a leak, a failed capacitor or contactor, an iced indoor coil, or a compressor that is not starting. The outdoor fan may spin while the compressor stays silent. We test the electrical side and the refrigerant charge to find which one it is, then repair it.

Do you handle heating repair as well as air conditioning repair?

Yes. We do furnace repair and heater repair alongside air conditioner repair, including ignition failures, blowers that will not start, systems that short cycle and thermostats that lose communication with the equipment. Heat pumps are common in our region and we service those too.

I smell gas near my furnace. What do I do?

Leave the building right away, take everyone with you, and do not touch switches. From outside, call 911 or your gas utility. Let them shut things off and clear the house. Once that is done, call us and we will inspect the heating equipment and repair what caused it.

How fast can you get here?

We aim for same-week appointments and often sooner during heat waves, though hot spells fill the schedule quickly. Call and describe the symptom so we can judge urgency. Homes with no cooling, a vulnerable resident or a suspected electrical issue move to the front of the list.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form with what you notice. Warm air, no air, short cycling, a smell, a noise. Details like when it started help us bring the right parts on the first visit.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, refrigerant performance, airflow and the return sizing. We test rather than guess, then explain what failed and why in plain language before any work starts.

  3. Step 3

    Repair and verify

We make the repair, then measure temperatures and airflow at the vents to confirm the system holds. If a duct or return is starving the equipment, we tell you what it would take to fix it.

Why homeowners call us

  • We know stucco tract homesMuch of the housing we service was built fast with returns too small for the tonnage installed. That single duct in the hallway explains a lot of weak airflow complaints, and we look at it before we sell you equipment.
  • Marine mornings, inland afternoonsCoastal condos fight humidity and salt air, while inland homes run long afternoon cycles in triple digits. Same system, different failure patterns. We set expectations for the climate your house actually sits in.
  • Diagnosis you can followYou get told which part failed, what it does and what happens if it waits. No hurry, no scare talk. If the honest answer is that the system has a few seasons left, we say that.
  • Repair before replacementMost calls end in a repair, not a new system. We quote replacement only when a repair will not hold or the cost stops making sense, and we explain the reasoning either way.
  • All major brands, gas & electricFrom Carrier and Trane to Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and Bryant, serviced independently.
  • Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
